Duke was a remarkable soul gone far too soon. He arrived at Happy FurEver in the same heartbreaking condition as his beloved Momma — starved, broken, and carrying the weight of years of suffering. Yet even in that state, Duke’s spirit was gentle, loyal, and full of quiet love. For three beautiful months, he thrived here: gaining weight, finding comfort, and finally knowing what it felt like to be safe. When his cancer took over, we knew God was calling one of His best to come home.
Duke will forever be part of Happy FurEver’s heartbeat. He was Momma’s devoted companion, our brave boy, and a reminder that even the most wounded souls can teach us the deepest lessons about love. Bentley crossed the Rainbow Bridge with the same quiet grace he lived his life. At 17 years old, our little soldier finally answered his heavenly calling, leaving behind a legacy of sweetness, loyalty, and a spirit that stayed young long after his body began to fade. Bentley was a happy old soul who did life his own way — content, steady, and always watching over his beloved sister Stella.
